وواحدة من أجمل كتب الأدب العالمي مسرحية " هملت " أو ( هاملت ) .
كتبها شكسبير سنة1600 ، وهي من أكثر المسرحيات تمثيلا وطباعة ، وهي أطول مسرحيات شكسبير ، وأكثرها تراجيديا ، والأهم في الأدب الانجليزي ، وتتحدث المسرحية عن هاملت أمير الدنمارك الذي يظهر له شبح ابيه ويطالبه بالانتقام لمقتله
من عمه وزوج أمه في نفس الوقت ، والذي قتل ابيه بصب السم القاتل في أذنه اثناء نومه ، ولم يري هذه الحادثة أحد ، غير ان الشبح أخبر هاملت بهذه الجريمة ليتمكن هاملت من الانتقام في نهاية الأمر .
